The first of our carers received their COVID-19 Vaccination on 13th January 2021.
Our Office remains open and can continue to be contacted on relevant office numbers, emails and via our contact us page.
As we are strictly observing social distancing guidelines we are only accepting visitors to the office by appointment only.
TUcare is keeping fully abreast of developments relating to the continued spread of Covid-19 across the UK. We are routinely monitoring developments and preparing appropriate responses as the situation evolves. We are committed to ensuring all steps are taken to protect the health and well being of our staff and customers.
We understand the situation around COVID-19 can be a worrying time and we wanted to add some reassurance to you about the measures we’re taking to protect our customers and carers at this time.
Our carers receive comprehensive training in infection control and we are strictly following industry guidance from the UK’s Public Health Authorities and World Health Organisation which includes emphasis on the importance of safe hand washing practice.
In line with the latest Government advice all our carers are working hard to minimise the risk of transmission through safe working practices. This includes the use of personal protection equipment (PPE) as needed. Currently all our staff are wearing Masks, Gloves and Aprons when delivering care. They are also washing their hands regularly and have been provided with hand sanitiser to use should hand washing facilities not be readily available.
We have now accessed the COVID-19 Vaccination for all our staff.
As with any other virus, the best way to prevent infection and spread is to avoid being exposed to it. You can help to prevent the spread of any respiratory outbreak by doing the following:
· Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
· Always wash your hands when you get home or into work
· Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
· Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the bin straight away, or sneeze into the bend of your elbow, then wash your hands.
· Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
· Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
· If you are unwell, stay at home and contact the 111 Coronavirus helpline.
· If you are asked to self-isolate please follow the NHS Advice
