When looking for care we fully understand that it can bring you more questions than answers- so we have tried to answer as many of these questions as we can.

Should I be worried about receiving care?

 No! There is no need to worry. We understand it can be very daunting when looking for a care package, but we are here to help and we pride ourselves on our ability to deal with almost any situation. 

Is there a minimum amount of care I need to have?

No. Whether you require a one off visit, one visit a week or full 24 hour care we can design a package that suits you.  

Are the carers vetted and trained?

All our carers are fully vetted and must undergo a disclosure and barring service check (DBS check) before joining us.  

They then attend our three day in house training and are supervised regularly at work. 

Do the carers wear uniform or ID badges?

 All our care staff will wear ID badges but they will be wearing their own clothes. At TUcare we feel that carers uniforms can advertise that someone is vulnerable and feel this is not something we want to advertise when entering a persons home.  

What if my needs change?

Don’t worry its all part and parcel of care. We will arrange to review your package at least every six months and if you need a review before the six month period we are happy to come out when you need us. 

How much does it cost?

The price of a care package can vary depending on the level of care required. Before you agree to start a package a full price breakdown will be given to you.  

What if I need to contact you outside office hours?

We have a 24 hour line that will be given to you and your family members when you join we are always available to help.

Can My Local Authority Fund Care?


On your request, all councils within England and Scotland are obligated to assess your care requirements/needs, councils will then decide whether you are a suitable candidate for funding.

Eligibility is determined by two assessments:

  • A Financial Assessments
  • A Needs Assessments
